The Baratta-Lorton
Reading Program Teacher's Manual was written to accompany the 2,048
kits the Center distributed over a ten year period to all fifty states and several Canadian provinces, to test the effectiveness of the Reading Program. The
Manual, writtren in 1985, was typed in double-space format to facilitate the
teachers utilizing the program adding editing comments and suggestions. This 2026 version is still the original text of the 1985 version. However, it is now single spaced and the 1985 black and white illustrations have been replaced with color images.
